Was bored, I love seeing other peoples processes, so this is mine! DO NOT steal and trace on my sketches or steal my finished lineart. Please & Thank you
Anyway, this is my way, I start with my Blank template I have saved on my desktop which is a, like, 2000x3000 gray new document and I set up my ref next to it, fight with the initial sketch and then when I am satisfied I make a new layer and zoom into the ref and move around as needed and do a more detailed sketch and then I line my most refined sketch. I also usually have mane/tail on separate layer from the rest of the body.
Hope this is neat and useful! Suggestions or Questions welcome!
You have to drag it to the very edge of the side you want and there is a blue line (if you have the same version as me) that appears and you can drop it in. But also the manual way is to go to the top bar, where it says like File / Edit / Image etc. and way to the end where it has the gray square icons with mini arrows next to them, the one where the gray is split up into 3 different shaped squares, that shows arrangement options. To get it like mine up there you'd choose the icon square cut in half off the drop down menu. I was so happy when I learned about that!

Glad it worked
I've got cs4, which version do you have?
